Vocational training and network for European Instructors in interactive
audio-visual media
Training activities in interactive content in Europe are widespread. Many
experts and instructors are creating curricula, writing papers and presentation
or are searching for good tutors for their educational institutions. Why
re-inventing the wheel over and over again? VoicINet aims at giving instructors
in interactive media a platform for exchange and organising vocational training
to keep them updated with trends, best practice cases and reflection on
their training methods.
Instructors workshops
4 workshops will give instructors insight to trends and developments in
the interactive content industry, have them assigned to business models,
show them successful projects and discuss training methods and didactic
material. The 2.5 days intensive workshops will cover different topics:
Workshop 1: Interactive Storytelling, July 8-10, 2005, Salzburg
Workshop 2: Milano
Workshop 3: Production design, November 10-12, 2005, Tampere
Workshop 4: Instructors Network Conference, March 3-4, 2006, Vienna
Database
VocINet will develop a database of European interactive media instructors
including example curricula, papers, presentations, publications, a forum,
links and news about interactive audio-visual content training initiatives.
Instructors Network Book
The Instructors Network Book will be a guidebook for instructors, institutions
and students covering best practice cases as well as a “Who is Who” of European
instructors and other experts. It will cover presentations, participants
projects from the workshops and the proceedings of several discussions.
The book will serve as instruction tool on European universities, colleges
and media training institutions.
